Zimbabwe
Overview
Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in South East Africa, separated from Zambia by the Zambezi River. It is bordered in east by Mozambique and Botswana. The capital and the largest city in Zimbabwe is Harare.
Zimbabwe has an area of 390,757 km² (150,872 sq mi). The country has a population of about 14.8 million people. Zimbabwe has 16 official languages Chewa, Chibarwe, English, Kalanga, Koisan, Nambya, Ndau, Ndebele, Shangani, Shona, sign language, Sotho, Tonga, Tswana, Venda, and Xhosa.
Zimbabwe has a dry season, April to October, which is Winter. During the Dry season, there is virtually no rainfall, and humidity is low. The wet season is from November to March. These are the wettest months with high humidity.
The official currency of Zimbabwe is the Zimbabwe dollar (ZWL) although it is not an internationally recognised currency.
