People on the move: Tanya Abrahamse to head up SA Tourism board
Dr Tanya Ethel Abrahamse has been appointed Chair of the SA Tourism Board, effective April. Abrahmse, an existing board member since the new board was announced last year, replacesVincent Zwelibanzi Mntambo, who has left the board.
Abrahamse is the CEO of the South African National Biodiversity Institute. Her previous positions include: executive director of the TBCSA; deputy director-general in the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism; and chief director in President Nelson Mandela’s office.
Michele Abraham has been appointed to VIP Marketing, whose clients include Walkersons in Dullstroom and Turbine in Knysna. Previously, Abraham was Marketing Communications Manager for Anantara Hotels and Resorts.
